Refrigerant Leak Detection & Recharge

Electronic and UV-dye leak detection, evacuation, and EPA-compliant refrigerant recharge for R-410A, R-454B, and legacy R-22 systems.

Refrigerant Leak Detection & Recharge You Can Rely On

Low refrigerant doesn't fix itself — there's a leak somewhere. Salt-air corrosion accelerates leaks at coils, valve cores, and brazed fittings in Palmetto. We use electronic detectors and UV-dye injection to locate leaks, then repair, evacuate, and recharge to manufacturer subcooling spec.

What's Included

  • Electronic leak detection
  • UV dye injection for slow leaks
  • Coil, line set, and valve core repair
  • EPA-compliant recovery and recharge
  • Subcool/superheat verified after recharge

Common Symptoms We Diagnose

  • AC not cooling well
  • Ice on indoor coil or refrigerant lines
  • Hissing sound at indoor or outdoor unit
  • Unit recently recharged but losing capacity again
  • Visible green UV-dye traces from prior service

Refrigerant Leak Detection & Recharge FAQs

Is R-22 still legal in Florida?
Production was banned in 2020. Recovered/recycled R-22 is still legal to use in existing equipment but increasingly expensive. For most R-22 systems in Palmetto we recommend planning a replacement to R-410A or R-454B.
